Uuringus selgus, kellel on seitse korda suurem risk põdeda Covid-19 rasket vormi
Ühendkuningriigi biopanga ja Covid-19 testide ning surmade andmebaaside põhjal analüüsisid uurijad erinevate kutsealade töötajate haigestumist Covid-19 raskesse vormi, kirjutab Eesti Arst.
Analüüsides eesliinitöötajate haigestumist Covid-19 raskesse vormi (hospitaliseerimist vajavad, surmaga lõppevad juhud) ilmnes, et võrreldes teiste erialadega on tervishoiutöötajate risk seitse korda suurem. Teistel eesliinitöötajatel on võrreldes mitte-eesliinitöötajatega raskekujulise Covid-19 risk keskmiselt kahekordne.
Analüüsiti 120 076 töötaja andmeid, kes olid vanuses 49-64 eluaastat. Neist 32 127 (29%), loeti niinimetatud eesliinitöötajateks, kes peavad oma tööga tagama ühiskonnale eluliselt vajalike teenuste kättesaadavuse – tervishoid, sotsiaalhooldus, transport, post, politsei jms.
